If you want to learn more about the Slow Food Movement visit the International Website and see how it all began and why. Since its conception it has grown and n0w has with more than one million supporters across 160+ countries.
In Australia it is represented in 4 states and the Northern Territory.
Slow Food Noosa first began in Pomona in 2003 with five members, in 2007 Matt Golinski was the President and initiated the Slow Food Noosa School Garden Project. It has grown significantly since then but is still run by a committee of dedicated volunteers who give their time freely to make a positive difference in their community.
In 2017, the group launched Australia’s first ‘Snail of Approval’ program to recognise local leaders of the global Slow Food philosophy of ‘good, clean and fair’ food.

Big Rosella Field Day 2024
May 4th – 5th. Discover all things Rosella at Petersen’s Farm’s annual Rosella Field Day. Visitors to the Big Rosella Field Day can enjoy cooking demos, farm tours, talks with farmers, forums on relevant issues, a local Farmers Market, and activities for families, including face painting and Rosella-themed games.
French Feast and Film Night
May 16th 2024 – Part of the GourMay Mary Valley Festival 2024, Slow Food Noosa presents a fantastic evening of delicious food and heart-warming entertainment. Creating an immersive dining experience and bringing the local people together over local food, Slow Food Noosa’s Film with Food Night presents ‘The Hundred Foot Journey’.
Wine and Food Event Kandanga
May 18th 3:00pm – 8:00pm – Tour with Tim, Tempranillo with Damien and Tapas with Matt Golinski. Experience the ultimate Farm to Fork (and glass) adventure. Join us on an immersive farm tour of Kandanga Farm, the Mary Valley’s only certified organic beef property and proud home of K2 Beef.
Holistic Management with Brian Wehlburg
Starting in June 2024 – We are absolutely thrilled to be welcoming back to the Valley. Holistic Management educator Brian Wehlburg. Holistic Management is a potentially life changing course that gets to the heart of your decision making process. 8 day course held over 4 months, 2 days at a time.
