Film With Food Night Pomona Theatre

A night with friends, fabulous food, and film.

Slow Food Noosa’s Film and Food night at the Majestic Theatre in Pomona in November 2023 had everything… a night with like-minded friends, an uplifting feature film , delicious food – all enjoyed while supporting the Slow Food cause.

We experienced the fresh culinary delights of acclaimed local chef Josh Smallwood of Noosa Cartel – as he cooked up a feast to accompany our documentary feature film “Breaking Bread”.

Breaking Bread was centred around the A-Sham Arabic Food Festival, a festival that pairs Israeli chefs with their Arab counterparts and takes them to the coastal city of Haifa, to show what they can produce together.

This film was paired perfectly with the philosophy of Slow Food… bringing people together over food – no matter where you are in the world – community, connection, conversation and enjoyment of delicious local produce in a welcoming environment. It was a fabulous night and we can’t wait for the next Film and Food Slow Food event.
